Live-in caregivers are care professionals who live in a patient’s home in order to help with daily living tasks and needs. They typically work with elderly clients. Live-in caregivers enable people who would otherwise not be able to remain in their homes, due to physical and mental limitations, continue to do so. Typical duties of a live-in caregiver include meal planning and preparation, assistance with grooming, dressing and toileting, medication management, laundry, and light housekeeping, and transportation/escorts to doctor’s appointments or social engagements.
